This Julien Schaal Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Kaefferkopf is made entirely of Gewürztraminer. The vines are at a height of between 230 and 350 meters. The Vosges protect the vineyards from any influence from the Atlantic. The average annual rainfall is therefore very low. The hills bordering the Vosges also offer protection from gusts of wind from the north. This climate is ideal for grape varieties that ripen earlier.

A full-bodied, full-bodied wine. It presents itself with aromas of lychee, sweet spices and roses. A delicious wine with fresh acids and a long finish.

- Other products of Julian Schaal Julien Schaal is a winery in Alsace. In 2011, the eponymous founder, together with Olivier Biecher, went in search of individual vineyards with character in order to lay the foundations for Alsatian Grand Cru wines. Today he runs the winery together with his wife Sophie. In addition to the headquarters in Alsace, the winery operates a branch in South Africa. It goes back to Julien's work in South Africa in 2003. The winemaker Gordon Newton Johnson gave him the jump start to produce a couple of barrels. The focus was and still is today on two grape varieties, Syrah and Chardonnay.
