Opaque purple. Very extravagant sweet bouquet with rum plums, currants and pickled figs in port, dark chocolate truffles and prunes. On the strong palate with a creamy texture and polished tannins, an incredible power pack, showing lots of fruit and concentration.
In the aromatic finale, an explosion of black dried berries, cloves, cardamom, fresh Tasmanian mountain pepper and liquorice paired with perfumed pipe tobacco.

Happiness, wealth and a long life - that is the meaning of the numbers 6, 8 and 9, which give the winery '689 Cellars' its name. In Chinese culture, they are generally regarded as lucky numbers with positive powers. The owner Curtis McBride was inspired by this traditional meaning of the numbers when naming the Six Eight Nine Cellar and created attractive labels with the interwoven numbers 6, 8 and 9 for his wines. The positive energy of the magic numbers should serve as a good omen for his wines and their connoisseurs! The home of the Six Eight Nine Cellars - the famous Napa Valley About 100 kilometers north of San Francisco, the ‘689 Cellars’ are at home in what is probably the most famous growing region in the USA - the Napa Valley. In the middle of California, the Napa Valley with its fertile volcanic soils in the north and sediment soils in the south and its mild climate is ideal for the production of legendary plants. The Six Eight Nine Cellar wines have been among the best in the world since the 1960s. The Napa Valley, which runs parallel to the coastline and is open to the south to San Pablo Bay, benefits in terms of climate from natural climate control that is very beneficial for viticulture, because on hot summer days, thick fog banks regularly move from the Pacific to the region, provide a refreshing balance and bring cooling and moisture to the 689's vineyards.
