Color: red Character: dry Content: 0.75 liters Variety: Lagrein Winery: St. Michael-Eppan Vintage: 2022 Region: Alto Adige Alcohol: 13.5% vol. Serve at: 16-18°C Description: The Lagrein grape is native to South Tyrol and primarily grown there. One thing that makes Lagrein special is that both red and rosé wines are produced from it. The history of growing Lagrein in South Tyrol dates back to the fourteenth century. Today it is one of South Tyrol’s top reds. This Lagrein has a deep dark-red color, powerful body and lovely spices. In short, a red wine with class, which is unique in character and found only in South Tyrol. The eye captures a blackish-red hue, adorned with a touch of black. Right from the first sniff, a fruity aroma unfolds, reminiscent of juicy cherries, delicate violets, and ripe blackberries. Upon the first sip, the palate is caressed by a velvety texture that imparts a sense of softness. This smooth consistency is accompanied by a pleasant spiciness that adds an additional dimension to the St. Michael Eppan Alto Adige Lagrein.
